Say Good-Bye to the Training Wheels! Say Good-Bye to the Training Wheels! This Learn to Ride a Bike Camp is for kids who are transitioning off training wheels and those who are still too young to register for Bike Riding Camp. Participants in this Learn to Ride a Bike Camp learn to ride without training wheels during camp. Participants who already can ride are placed in a separate group. Several skill level groups are formed determined by ability. Under the supervision of American Inline coaches, participants learn how to get on their bike, find their balance, paddle, pedal, coast, braking, slowing, stopping, steering and bike rodeo activities. Daily activities include group and private instruction, riding safety courses, confidence courses and bike riding games and bike riding related activities. Participants receive a camp T-shirt and sticker. Bring bike –with or without training wheels, helmet, bike gloves -(optional), lunch and snacks in cooler with ice packs and labeled with name. Staff to participant ratio: 1:6. Ages 5-10. (For Age 5 to 10)
Optional AM and PM Care Available. PM Extended day activities include swimming at Washington-Lee HS (two/three days per week, depending upon pool availability at the time we submit reservation in May) plus arts & crafts activities, kick ball or various other activities including watching age appropriate videos in the case of inclement weather.
